Dinner Dance held at The Manor House, Aldermaston
   
November 8th 2005 - Annual General Meeting and Speaker Evening
The Tadley and District Chamber of Trade held the AGM at the Manor House, Aldermaston. Details of new and committee members can be found on the Committee Members page.
Our speaker was from Peninsula Business Services and they covered the following subjects: Contracts of Employment - How to issue them; What they should contain Common Pitfalls - Recruitment; Discrimination; Unfair & Constructive Dismissal Employee Rights - Fixed-Term Contracts; Part-Time & Temporary Workers Legislation Update - Dispute Resolution Procedure; Employee Rights; Forthcoming changes Tribunals - How they work; How they can be avoided; Common issues.
   
November 2005 - Promotion/Sponsorship Event - Hurst Prize Giving
The Tadley and District Chamber of Trade presented a shield and money prizes.
   
12th October 2005 - Business Meeting - Speed Networking Evening
This was a fun and modern way to make new business contacts in one relaxed and informal evening.
With 36 attendees all getting the chance to talk on a one-to-one basis, it was a very successful event.
We had a welcome drink on arrival, soft drinks on the tables, finger buffet in the interval and coffee to finish off.
   
17th September 2005 - Social/Fund Raising Event - Race Night
 


A fun race night was held at the Tadley Community Centre. £280 was raised and donated to Heather House, SeeAbility.

16th July 2005 - Social Event - River Thames Cruise


We boarded the Caversham Princess at 7.45pm with anchors aweigh at 8pm.
With nearly 100 people dancing to the music sailing down the river, it was just great.
 
10th July 2005 - Banner Stand Sponsorship/Promotion
On Sunday 10th July 2005 Tadley Area Youth Wind Band together with The Hurst Community College Orchestra performed their end of year concert at The Hurst Community College, Baughurst.

8th July 2005 - New Charity Shop Opens
What a wonderful day!
The Grand Opening of Annie's International  Charity Shop was a great success.
The Annie's  team were very proud to have the Mayor of Basingstoke to officially open the shop.
Barbara Payne (The President of The Tadley & District Chamber of Trade) presented a traditional Tadley besom broom to wish them good luck and every success in the future.

18th May 2005 - Business Meeting

Speaker Evening on 'Health Matters'.
This event was held at the Tadley Community Centre and the evening was dedicated to help inform us of what health services are available locally.
Presentations were given by representatives from The Hampshire Clinic, Medical Insurance Services, SeeAbility, Morland Doctors Surgery, Tadley Dental Care and the Hurst Leisure Centre.
It was a very informative evening and you could even get your blood pressure checked by one of the local nurses!
